The
video content is my experimentation with the notion that everyday
moments of life, by virtue of their being, become art as soon as they
are contextualized by our attention and framed with our consideration.
As we frame and contextualize those experiences, we also become art and
participants in a worl of art. Realizing this idea hints at the potential for transcendence. My video is not
narrative but focused on the essence of an ephemeral experience.
The Airborne Series is in progress, begun in March of 2010. The current work are color studies for subsequent iterations that will get progressively larger. The Hidden Series was completed in 2009, with a limited vocabulary of chairs, balloons, and mirrors as analogs for human situations and emotional states.
