The smaller sketches are all 3"x12", acrylic on board. The series, started in 2010, inspired a series of larger paintings about seven feet high, canvases now in progress.
We are always in flux as we go through life. Children and, especially adolescents in their in-between state of becoming, seemed a perfect lens through which to consider the way we are always aloft somehow as life continuously changes all around us and the wisdom of existing joyfully in the present.
